Blueberry Barbecue Sauce

Perfect to serve with beef tenderloins, salmon and venison
ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper
1 cup blueberries
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup tomato ketchup
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/4 cup butter
directions
1. To prepare the sauce, saute the onions and jalapeno over medium heat in a small stainless steel saucepan.
2. Add the blueberries, brown sugar, vinegar, ketchup, mustard and Tabasco sauce.
3. Cook at a low boil for 15 minutes, stirring often. Puree the sauce in a food processor or blender, then strain it.
4. Whisk in the butter and season to taste.
yield: 1 1/2 cup sauce
